Over Columbus Day weekend, Berry Campbell Gallery will pay homage the East End's deep-rooted artist community by presenting Continuum at the historic Ashawagh Hall in Springs.

"The gallery is pleased to show four important artists - all who have roots locally in the Hamptons," Christine Berry noted. "Contiuum, the title of the show, ties the history of the important Abstract Expressionist painters who showed at Ashawagh Hall in the last century to artists working in the area today."

Back in the 1960s, a group of local Abstract Expressionists established the "Springs Invitational" exhibition at Ashawagh Hall - a showcase that is still to this day highly regarded. Ashawagh Hall is located just down the road from the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center - Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner's former home.

Continuum will highlight the works of Eric Dever, Mike Solomon, Susan Vecsey and Frank Wimberley. The Manhattan-based gallery represents several artists that have ties to the Hamptons community, including Perle Fine, Charlotte Park, Raymond Hendler, John Opper, Syd Solomon, Larry Zox, and Dan Christensen.

The exhibition will be on display from Friday, October 9 through Monday, October 12. It will be on view on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The artists will be onsite each afternoon.

Ashawagh Hall is located at 780 Springs Fireplace Road in East Hampton. For more information, call 212-924-2178 or email info@berrycampbell.com.
