East Hampton is welcoming a new store to the iconic Main Street. As stores begin to open this summer, Sunflow is the new DTC premium beach brand that locals and visitors alike should keep on their radar. The Pop-Up Shop, located at 55 Main Street Cove, has been stunningly designed by Co-Founder Leslie Hsu, with execution support from artist and merchandiser Kelly McAdam.

Sunflow's introductory collection encompasses six summer must-haves: the Sunrise Chair ($198), Sun Shade ($48), Integrated Beach Towel ($35), Adjustable Drink Holder ($25), Dry Bag ($25) and Bikini Bag ($28).

"Sunflow was born out of a personal frustration that a carefree day at the beach actually required a lot of work," said Leslie Hsu, co-founder and chief creative officer of Sunflow. "We decided to create the best seat on the beach through a thoughtfully designed chair and the accessories needed to enjoy your day in the sun."

The brand's Sunrise Chair - which features recycled material and Water-Resistant Marine Fabrics - conveniently reclines to four different positions and includes detachable backpack straps so that transporting it is a breeze. On those scorching summer days, the Sun Shade, which is made with UPF 50+ fabric, protecting against 98 percent of UV Rays, certainly comes in handy.

"Today, Americans spend 40 percent of their vacation time at the beach, however, over the last 100 years there has been no real innovation in the beach category," Greg Besner, co-founder, expressed. "When conceptualizing Sunflow, we worked for more than two years to engineer the perfect chair addressing key concerns of comfort in both transportation and lounging, to protection from the sun."

McAdam, who is known for her work with Anthropologie, helped bring the spirit of the beach inside with hand painted murals and custom crafted palm trees. All the fixtures in the store are custom made and were distressed treated to mimic a real boardwalk.

"It was great to collaborate with Sunflow's co-founder Leslie Hsu in bringing the vision for Sunflow to life," said McAdam. "We wanted to bring the spirit of the beach inside with a touch of the handmade and I think we did it. I loved transforming the space into a multi-dimensional expression of the brand...something you can only experience in person."

This location carries the entire Sunflow collection as well as exclusive items that cannot be found on the website. Additionally, the boutique will offer totes from artist Kerri Rosenthal, jewelry from Bohemia, Rockaway Gypsea, candles from The Commonfolk Collective, and skincare must-haves from Bitchstix. There is so much to look forward to!

Sunflow will make its Hamptons debut on Wednesday, June 10. While Sunflow is still figuring out what their store hours will be with current restrictions, they are aiming for 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with curbside pickup available.
