Once again, hundreds will lace up their sneakers and run, walk or even sprint in support of In Jordan's Honor, Ltd., a 501 (c) (3) not for profit charitable memorial fund that honors the memory of United States Marine Corps Lance Corporal Jordan Christian Haerter of Sag Harbor, who was killed in action in Ramadi, Iraq, during the 3rd annual Jordan's Run on Sunday, July 28.

"We are changing the route up slightly this year. The start and finish is on Division Street, near the lower parking lot of the School," JoAnn Lyles, Jordan Haerter's mother, who founded In Jordan's Honor, Ltd., shared. "The highlight of this run is crossing the Lance Cpl Jordan Haerter Veterans' Memorial Bridge."

Part of the Suffolk County Veterans Run Series, In Jordan's Honor, Ltd. created the Jordan's Run's course with places that had great significance in Lance Corporal Haerter's life in mind. The 5K will start at Pierson High School, where Jordan graduated, and travel through historic Sag Harbor Village. It will travel past the marina, where Jordan worked for a summer job, and as participants approach the finish line, they'll journey past the cemetery where this hero rests.

"After the run and awards are given out, a Marine will read General John Kelly's speech, The last six seconds, recounting the day of 22 April 2008 when LCpl Jordan Haerter and Cpl Jonathan T. Yale gave their lives to save their brothers," Lyles noted. "We will also have a ceremonial Rifle volley from the Suffolk County Detachment Marine Corps League of Bay Shore and final roll call for the fallen with Gold Star families in attendance."

Registration at Pierson High School opens up at 7 a.m. - with an 8:30 a.m. start.

"This year Silver Spoon Specialties food truck is joining us, so bring a little change to get your morning coffee, egg sandwich or sweet breakfast treat," Lyles shared.

Following the race, there will be medal presentations to the top runners, followed by a Final Roll Call ceremony honoring the fallen and local Gold Star Families. The top male and female overall finisher, as well as the top three male and female in age groups 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus and the "Middle-of-the-Pack" will be recognized. There will be special mention to runners with boots and utes, rucksacks and large flags.

There will also be live music and free photos.

The entry fee is $35 in advance and $40 on the day of the race, which includes a complimentary swag bag with awesome goodies and an official Jordan's Run technical shirt. There will be a registration/bib- t-shirt pick up on Saturday, July 27 at Pierson High School from 5 to 8 p.m.

"Join us! Fun for the whole family!" Lyles encouraged. "There is a free photo booth and many organizations represented on the school grounds."
