The East End's holiday cheer will be exponentially merrier this year when the Riverhead Holiday Light Show makes its debut on Friday, November 16.

The seasonal spectacular, which will take about 20-25 minutes to journey through, will be jam-packed with dozens of dazzling, eye-catching cheerful displays - some of which will ascend as tall as three stories and extend over 100 feet in length.

"The light show will be great for residents of the East End, as well as businesses on Main Street," said Matthew Glaser of BOLD Broadcasting, the parent company operating the event in Calverton. "This holiday season we plan on bringing thousands of people into Riverhead, and while they're here they will shop and dine throughout the town."

Visitors can revel in the holiday cheer on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in November, and Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in December. The largest drive-through light show in Suffolk County will remain on display through the end of December.

So where exactly is this not-to-be-missed holiday extravaganza taking place? The Riverhead Holiday Light Show can be seen at Long Island Sports Park in Calverton.

Admission is $23 per car-load in advance and $25 per car-load at the door, however if you don't reserve a ticket in advance availability is not guaranteed.

Long Island Sports Park is located at 149 Edwards Avenue in Calverton. For more information, visit riverheadlightshow.com.
