During the family friendly fundraiser, which was held on Saturday, September 1, Lemon, and fellow co-hosts chatted with attendees about the significance of not only supporting local businesses, but continuing to shine a spotlight on the arts and keeping it a centerpiece of Main Street.

"We were thrilled to introduce so many great new people to the Cinema effort, thanks to the extraordinary hospitality and generosity of Suna Said and Scott Maslin," Gornik shared. "The party was pitch-perfect and full of adorable children whom we're looking forward to entertaining in the new Sag Harbor Cinema!"

Construction began on the iconic Cinema in early June. As the restoration efforts start to near the finish line, the Sag Harbor Partnership is working diligently to raise the remaining funds needed to finish the project, which is anticipated to be completed by summer 2019.

The Cinema will close out its Artists Love Movies series with Leonard Bernstein: Reaching for the Note on Sunday, September 16. Hosted by Bernstein's daughter Jamie Bernstein and director Susan Lacy, the screening will take place at Pierson High School Auditorium at 4 p.m. and a benefit reception will be held at the Sag Harbor home of Lacy afterwards. Leonard Bernstein: Reaching for the Note, which is part of Lacy's award-winning PBS documentary series American Masters, takes a look at the life of the American composer, conductor, pianist, educator, and humanitarian who was called "one of the most prodigiously talented and successful musicians in American history" by music critic Donal Henahan.
