SoFo To Honor Courtney Ross, Don Church, And Russell Mittermeier At 29th Annual Summer Gala Benefit

The South Fork Natural History Museum (SoFo) will honor Courtney Ross, founder of the Ross Institute, Ross School and the Ross Learning System; Don Church, President of the Global Wildlife Conservation; and Russell Mittermeier, Chief Conservation Officer of Global Wildlife Conservation; during SoFo's 29th Annual Summer Gala Benefit will take place in Saturday, July, 14.

"We are very happy to celebrate our 29th year of Nature Education leadership offering over 250 annual educational programs including our new Shark Research and Education Program and our 4th Annual Climate Change Forum, which will take place in September of this year," reflected SoFo's Executive Director Frank Quevedo.

Co-chaired by Sammi & Scott Seltzer, and Patsy & Jeff Tarr, with co-hosts Leslie Clarke, Alex Guarnaschelli and Debra Halpert, the benefit will start with a VIP cocktail reception from 6 to 7 p.m. featuring a tasting menu created by chefs and restaurateurs such as The Bell & Anchor, The Golden Pear, Page at 63 Main, Calissa Hamptons, East Hampton Grill, Grand Banks, Hayground School, Ketcham's Seafarm, Manna Restaurant, Mecox Bay Dairy, Montauk Shellfish Company, Saaz Restaurant, and Southampton Social Club.

The main reception from 7 to 10 p.m. will include a Honoree Presentation, buffet dinner catered by Elegant Affairs, live auction, silent auction and music from Nancy Atlas & the Nancy Atlas Project Band.

"Our gala benefit promises to be a very special one as we are honoring acclaimed changemakers in education and conservation," added SoFo's Development Director, Diana Aceti. " We thank everyone for supporting SoFo, and we encourage everyone to reserve their tickets and tables very soon as we have limited availability."

VIP tickets for the 29th Annual Summer Gala Benefit are $1,300 and a limited number of general admission tickets are available for $450. Young professional (under 30 years of age) tickets are $275.

Founded in 1988, South Fork Natural History Museum & Nature Center is the sole state-of-the-art natural history museum located on the South Fork of Long Island. The site offers a place for all ages to investigate, attain knowledge, and engage.
