Bridge Gardens, a breathtaking public and demonstration garden that was donated to the Peconic Land Trust by Jim Kilpatric and Harry Neyens in 2008, has reopened for its Summer 2018 season.

This hidden Bridgehampton gem will be open daily, serving as a multipurpose, multi-disciplinary outdoor classroom and community resource that offers diverse programs, as well as a Community Garden with 22 garden plots.

This season's highlights includes workshops on home gardening, low-impact lawn maintenance and garden advice; Fridays at Six Music in the Gardens with live music of Jack Licitra on July 20 and Joe Hampton and the King Pins on August 17; Fridays at Four, Tasting and Tour on June 29, July 27, and August 24; Plein air painting classes with Suzanne Fokine; and new this year, the Birdhouse Exhibition and Auction, opening July 6 and featuring the work of over 30 artists. The auction will close on November 10 at the Autumn Open House.

"As the first days of summer are officially here, we are excited about offering a wide-variety of programming to the community," said garden manager Rick Bogusch. "With free daily admission and a recently renovated parking area, we hope that more and more residents and visitors will stop by - whether for a quick break for breakfast or lunch, spend the day with family and friends and explore the gardens diverse plantings, join one of our plein air painting workshops or come on your own, or take one or many of our educational programs on growing roses, vegetables and more. And not to be missed, all summer long our Birdhouse Exhibition and Auction will feature over 30 unique 'homes' for our feathered friends. Take a look around, and maybe place a bid to take one home and help support the gardens future!"

Admission to Bridge Gardens is free.

Bridge Gardens is located at 36 Mitchell Lane in Bridgehampton. For more information, visit peconiclandtrust.org.
