The Neo-Political Cowgirls (NPC) will present its second annual Andromeda's Sisters, a Panel and Performance event, at Guild Hall in East Hampton on Thursday, June 28. The evening, which will celebrate Arts and Advocacy for women and families, will mark the Guild Hall stage debut of the superb Aida Turturro.

"Andromeda's Sisters was created out of the moment in Neo-Political Cowgirls' production of Andromeda when Poseidon's daughters swam against the ocean currents to save Andromeda from her sacrificial punishment of being fed to a violent sea monster," noted Kate Mueth, Founder of The Neo-Political Cowgirls, a not-for-profit dance theater company committed to exploring and supporting the female voice.

This will mark the Guild Hall stage debut of the superb Aida Turturro.

The three-tiered Hamptons happening will begin with a Panel featuring representatives from OLA, International Rescue Committee, Ellen's Run, Hantam Trust, WAVE, and Take Your Daughter To Work Day/Born Worthy at 5 p.m. Moderated by Debra Halpert, panelists will speak about their work, struggles they come across in today's political climate, and how these challenges impact the area.

Next, attendees will head to the Guild Hall garden for a Garden Party with food sponsored by Nick and Toni's and East End Acupuncture, drinks and cocktails, and live music by Job Potter, Steven Tekulsky and Sarah Greene.

Finally, at 8 p.m., the Playreading Performance will commence. The production will include five one act plays by Lucy Boyle, Monica Bauer, Robin Rice, Quinn Jackson, and Jacqueline Bircher starring Aida Turturro (Sopranos), Ellen Dolan (Guiding Light), Florencia Lozano (One Life To Live, Gossip Girl), Ava DeMary (Broadway's Billy Eliot, Evita, Matilda), Augie Murphy (Law and Order), Lydia Franco-Hidges, Charlie Westfal, Joanna Howard, Amanda Nichols, Susan Stout and more.

"When women help women, great shifts occur," Mueth reflected. "It is not always easy or convenient, but this help will always create change for the better."

Tickets range from $35 to $150. Proceeds from the evening will aid NPC's professional theater work, as well as education outreach programming for local youth.

"NPC marries Advocacy with the Arts and we are passionate about serving our local community as well as long-distance audiences through this creative marriage," Mueth added.

Guild Hall is located at 158 Main Street in East Hampton. For more information, call 631-748-8307 or visit www.npcowgirls.org.
