Mother Nature may not yet be ready to accept that spring is actually here, but in the Hamptons, the time has come to gather at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill for a beloved community seasonal celebration, Spring Fling. The annual Parrish fundraiser and networking event will take place on Saturday, April 21.

Co-chaired by Christine Curiale-Steinmuller, Maryanne Horwath, and Laura Wynne, this year's festivities will commence at 7:30 p.m. Spring Flingers can raise a glass to the season and the Museum's year-round educational programs, listen to an electric mix of R&B, Pop, Dance, and Hip Hop hits as well as ballads, jazz, Latin, calypso, and reggae from NOIZ, document the affair in the photo booth, bid on exception silent auction items, and nosh on sumptuous hors d'oeuvres from Elegant Affairs.

"Spring Fling helps to raise essential support for the Museum's year-round children's education programs, as well as Access Parrish, a recent initiative for children and adults with special needs, including visitors with dementia and their care partners," said Curiale-Steinmuller. "I'm proud to be a part of Spring Fling, making important programs like these possible in our community."

The soiree will also take partygoers throughout the Museum - with live music from NOIZ - who has been featured on Fox 5's Good Day NY and provided backup vocals on Destiny Child alum Michelle Williams' solo debut - in the Lichtenstein Theater and the galleries showcasing two exceptional exhibitions.

Both the critically acclaimed Image Building: How Photography Transforms Architecture, which takes a look at the powerful relationship between architecture, photography, and the viewer, and Five and Forward, an exploration of artists whose work is included in the Museum's permanent collection, with a highlight on the ongoing artistic legacy of Long Island's East End, will captivate attendees.

Highlights from the silent auction include a round of golf for four at Hampton Hills Golf and Country Club, four tickets to a taping of Dr. Oz, a gift certificate from Laviano, a stand-up-paddleboard lesson from Paddle Diva, several gift certificates to local restaurants, fitness and spa treatments, wine baskets, luxury items, and much more.

The Parrish launched its Spring Fling benefit in the 1990s. Now, it raises over $100,000 annually for education programs, including Access Parrish, an initiative that provides learning experiences specifically curated for youth and adults with varied needs and abilities, including children on the autism spectrum, and individuals with Alzheimer's Disease, dementia, or Parkinson's Disease, and their care partners. The event also allows the Museum to offer school collaborations, like Museum tours, studio activities, and creative programs developed in partnership with regional educators, school vacation programs, weekly open studios for families and teens, after school art workshops, bi-lingual family tours, and the annual Student Exhibition that brings together works from over 30 regional schools.

Tickets to Spring Fling are $200; $150 for Members; and $100 for Young Professionals (ages 21-35 with valid ID). All tickets purchased after April 17, 2018 will be $225. The event sells out regularly, so purchasing a ticket in advance is highly recommended.
