With assistance from Bridgehampton National Bank (BNB) and the YMCA East Hampton RECenter, BOLD Broadcasting's 104.7 WELJ is launching a new mobile studio just in time for the holidays.

"The studio is part of a joint vision to build community engagement with local broadcast entertainment, community banking, and community health and wellness and we can't wait to get it on the road," noted Matthew Glaser, General Manager of the station. "We are proud to be partnering with two organizations that share our commitment to the local community, the YMCA and BNB. Both the Y and the bank have a long tradition of working together with the community."

Glaser and Andrew Adams founded Bold Broadcasting, which premiered in 2016 with programming that featured an all holiday format, and then transitioned to easy listening. But, since the most wonderful time of the year is near, the station is spreading seasonal joy with holiday tunes round the clock.

"For BNB, community banking is more than a phrase, it's about showing up and actively engaging with our friends, family and customers," explained Claudia Pilato, BNB VP Director of Marketing. "We are very excited to partner with Bold Broadcasting and with the YMCA East Hampton RECenter."

The 104.7 WELJ Mobile Studio will allow 104.7 WELJ to broadcast live from beloved community events, festivals, and seasonal traditions like tree lightings and parades.

"Having young people engage with cross town peers feeds into strengthening an inclusive community by erasing geographic and social divides to reduce the rates of drug abuse, bullying and other harmful scenarios through prevention," Glenn Vickers II, YMCA Executive Director.

The collaboration will help further the YMCA's efforts to provide local teens with the opportunity to forge relationships with youth from across the East End. "This mobile studio collaboration with BNB and WELJ represents one piece of several mobile initiatives for us in 2018," Vickers shared. "Thanks to the support of Nicolette Donen and Clifford Ross, we've been given the ability to offer free transportation to local youth from Southampton, Bridgehampton and Sag Harbor to East Hampton for our Free Friday Night Pre-Teen Program. We now offer transportation from those areas, including Montauk and Amagansett, for all of our 2018 Summer Camps and youth career training programs."

WELJ's signal originates in Montauk and the entire East End and Southern Connecticut can tune in.

"This collaboration allows BNB to be present and part of many community events," Pilato added.

The 104.7 WELJ Mobile Studio will be unveiled on Friday, November 17 at 5:15 p.m. at the YMCA East Hampton RECenter. All are welcome to attend the festive gathering that will include hot chocolate and treats provided by Hampton Coffee.

YMCA East Hampton RECenter is located at 2 Gingerbread Lane Ext in East Hampton. For more information visit www.welj.com.
