On Saturday, July 15, nearly 500 guests are expected to join St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for the third annual St. Jude Hope in the Hamptons. The summer soiree was founded by the grandparents of a local 7-year-old St. Jude patient named Drew who recently underwent chemotherapy treatment for blood cancer.

"It's a celebration of generations of love because a cancer diagnosis impacts the entire family - including grandparents," explained Caitlin McFeely of St. Jude.

Starting at 6 p.m., attendees will be treated to a festive evening of cocktails, dinner, dancing and fundraising at a private home in Water Mill. Proceeds from St. Jude Hope in the Hamptons will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®, the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center dedicated solely to children patients.

Since St. Jude Hope in the Hamptons was launched two years ago, the tremendously successful benefit has raised more than $880,000. Patients at St. Jude never receive a bill from the Children's Research Hospital for treatment, travel, housing or food, ensuring that while patients are battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases, their families can focus solely on their recovery and not have to worry about how they're going to afford treatment, accommodation, or even food.

St. Jude's dedication to finding cures for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases has helped improve the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent over the past 50 years. St. Jude hopes to increase the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent, and won't stop until no child dies from cancer. Every innovative advancement at St. Jude is shared with the medical community, allowing doctors and scientists to use that vital, lifesaving knowledge to assist even more children.

Tickets to St. Jude Hope in the Hamptons start at $300.
