East End Hospice
will host its annual Summer Gala An Evening in Paris
at The Jeffrey's on Saturday, June 24 from 7 to 11 p.m. Attendees will enjoy cocktails and dinner served by Robbins Wolfe
Eventeurs, live music from The Times Square
Orchestra, a silent auction presented by Games of Chance, casino gaming, and more, and festive attire is encouraged.
"We are thankful for the generosity of the Jeffrey Family for offering East End Hospice the use of their property to host our benefit," said Theresa Murphy, Community Relations Coordinator at East End Hospice.
Once again Lucas Hunt
is returning to serve as the Master of Ceremonies, and this year Sydney Esiason and Matt Martin will join him as the soiree's Honorary Chairpersons. During the event, Hunt will present the 18th annual Dorothy P. Savage
Good Samaritan award recipient to the 103rd Rescue Squadron.
Located at Gabreski Air National Guard Base in Westhampton Beach, the 103rd Rescue Squadron recently came to the rescue of a bulk cargo vessel, the Tamar, when an explosion and fire ripped through the ship 1,200 miles out in the Atlantic
Ocean. The brave efforts of this squadron helped save several crewmen. Their work is often treacherous and most certainly selfless as they place their own lives in danger. East End Hospice is pleased to award the 103rd Rescue Squadron this award to thank them for their service to our country.
East End Hospice is absolutely thrilled to welcome Esiason and Martin as this year's Honorary Chairs. Esiason is an anchor on Sports Illustrated Wire
and Martin began his career in the NHL
with the New York Islanders
and now plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs
. Martin set an NHL record for the most hits in a single season (2014-2015) as an Islander. Together, Esiason and Martin raise funds for The Boomer Esiason
Foundation that supports cystic fibrosis through a series of activities, training camps, events, and other charities.
The Honorary Committee includes Mr. and Mrs. Matthew C. Blank, Mr. and Mrs. John V. Brennan, The Rev. Dr. Charles Cary
, Theodore B. Conklin III, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Dooley, Nelson DeMille
, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Gambling, Mr. and Mrs. John Kanas, Senator Kenneth LaValle
, Susan Lucci
and Helmut Huber, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Maguire, Bill O'Reilly
, John Roland, Adriana Trigiani, and Thomas Von Essen. The Committee Chairs are Betsy Bean, Thomas Diffley, Ashley Farrell, Sally Richardson
, Pauline Schmidt, and Alexandra Urdang.
East End Hospice, formed in 1991, serves as a not-for-profit organization and NY State Certified Hospice that provides individualized care for terminally ill patients, their families, and loved ones in the comfort of their own homes. Care is provided to patients regardless of their ability to pay. In addition, Camp Good Grief was created in 1997, which is a five-day bereavement camp to help children cope with the loss of a loved one.
