On Sunday, November 12th, Patrick Rogers and Jessica Peters tied the knot in a beautiful celebration thanks to The 6th Annual Veterans Day Wedding Giveback. Over thirty local vendors united to donate more than $60,000 worth of goods and services to the couple to ensure their wedding plans would come to fruition. Boatswain Mate First Class Patrick Rogers of the United States Coast Guard and his fiancé Jessica Peters were married on the 12th in honor of Veterans Day.
The Annual Veterans Day Wedding Giveback, sponsored by Peconic Landing
, aims to give back to the military personnel in our community and put together a special day for couple. Jessica, who is a Sayville native and works as a producer at a Telecare network, shared her sentiments on the special day and her gratitude for those who worked to put it together. "Each and every vendor donation, whether it was someone's time or a contribution big or small meant the world to us and we are so grateful for the generosity that helped make our wedding day more than we ever could've imagined," she expressed. "We hope that the entire Veterans Day Wedding Giveback reminds us all of the selfless love in this world - shown through the participating vendors, and our military that keep our communities safe."
