November is an exciting month for the Southampton Arts Center (SAC), who will present events ranging from yoga to live music performances and art exhibits - offering something for everyone.

"The programming for November has something for everyone," said Amy Kirwin, Southampton Arts Center Director of Programs. "We are so excited to continue collaborations with Cornell Cooperative Extension's Marine Program, The Jam Session, Ananda Wellness and Yoga Center, Telluride Mountainfilm on Tour Southampton, and Southampton's African American Film Festival, as well as new endeavors with Shane Weeks and the Shinnecock Indian Nation" says Southampton Arts Center Director of Programs, Amy Kirwin.

The month kicked off with a screening of The Diplomat (Saturday, November 5th), The Portrait Series with Megan Euell (Friday, November 4th through Sunday, November 6th), Jennifer Lee Snowden in concert (Saturday, November 5th), and a Shinnecock Dreamcatcher Workshop with Shane Weeks (Sunday, November 6th).

SAC has joined forces with the George Eastman Museum to present its Colorama exhibit (Friday, November 11th to Saturday, December 31th). A public opening reception will take place on Saturday, November 12th from 4 to 6 p.m. Live from Southampton Arts Center: The Music of Mali with Yacouba Sissoko and LUMA will take place on Saturday, November 12 at 7:30 p.m. with complimentary themed refreshments by the Southampton Social Club and Union Cantina. The Music of Mali is expected to be an exciting multicultural performance, strong in its representation of traditional African music and jazz, though not confined to those parameters. The artists are known to push boundaries in their performances and will, with no doubt, wow concert-goers in their eclectic show.
