Riverhead and Patchogue, who are largely considered sister towns, will be teaming up to host and co-market Riverhead's newly launched Alive on 25 Summer Street Festival. After negotiations between Riverhead's Business Improvement District and the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce, the two Long Island locales have decided to work together to put on this summer festival.

This festival will largely mimic Patchogue's Alive After Five® summer street fair, offering guests a similar experience. Main Street bars and restaurants, various food trucks and wineries, craft vendors, and local artists are eager to participate. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy their refreshments with live entertainment by top bands from Long Island. Free dance lessons and family-friendly activities will also be offered.

Patchogue Chamber Executive Director, David Kennedy, is excited about the collaboration and has been helpful in providing Riverhead planners with guidance and assistance as they work to organize the festival. Alive After Five® has been instrumental in the growth of the Patchogue community, and Alive on 25 hopes to offer the Riverhead community the same opportunity. "Patchogue's Alive After Five® has such great attendance that we are happy to give our attendees the opportunity to attend a similar event on alternating Thursday nights," Kennedy remarked.

Beginning on Thursday, July 7th, the towns will alternate hosting the street fairs weekly, giving both Riverhead and Patchogue four weeks to host their fair throughout the summer. Head to Main Street in Riverhead on July 14th, July 28th, August 11th, and August 25th to enjoy the festivities. Patchogue will host the fun on July 7th, July 21st, August 4th and August 18th.

Admission to Alive on 25 and Alive After Five is free. The fair runs from 5 to 9:30 p.m.
