'Tis the time of the year that pristinely manicured Hamptons gardens and backyards are at the peak of their beauty. What makes the East End's abodes so highly coveted? Find out during this annual happening.

On Saturday, June 11th and Sunday, June 12th, you can adore and explore a few of these local masterworks during Landscape Pleasures, the Parrish Art Museum's annual two-day horticulture event.

This year's Landscape Pleasures will commemorate the memory of long-time committee member, Jack deLashmet.

"It is our honor to hold this year's event in memory of landscape architect and author Jack deLashmet," said Nancy Hardy, Parrish Trustee and close friend of the late committee member. "His passion and vision for the art of landscape design embodies the spirit of this special weekend."

The gathering will begin with a Saturday morning symposium at Parrish Art Museum's Lichtenstein Theater, led by innovators from the garden design and landscape architecture fields. During the lecture, Charles Birnbaum, President, CEO, and founder, The Cultural Landscape Foundation (TLCF); Andrea Cochran, owner of Andrea Cochran Landscape Architecture and winner of the 2014 Cooper Hewitt National Design Award in Landscape Architecture; and Darrel Morrison, teacher of landscape architecture/design for more than 45 years and advocate of design informed and inspired by interpretations of the naturally-evolving landscape, will speak. Additionally, a representative from Perfect Earth Project will be onsite to discuss the organization's initiatives in promoting global toxin-free land management. The conversations will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Those who purchase sponsor level tickets and above ($350 plus) are invited to attend the Benefit Committee Cocktail Party, hosted by Tim Davis of the Corcoran Group. The soiree will be held at the modern Wyman estate, located on 15 acres on Pond Lane in Southampton Village, on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, guests can journey through the Hamptons during self-guided tours of private gardens in Bridgehampton, Sagaponack, and Amagansett. Landscape Pleasures will take attendees to the impressively designed gardens at the estates of Michael Forman and Jennifer Rice (designed by landscape architects Oehme van Sweden), Herbert and Karen Friedman, Victoria and Jack Rovner, and Loren Skeist and Marlene Marko.

Tickets for the symposium and garden tours are $225 ($175 for Parrish Members).
