"Give Where You Live" Campaign Celebrates One Year Anniversary

The "Give Where You Live" campaign was established to create awareness about the need for support of our charitable organizations on the East End. Money raised by our local non-profits stay here to support the local families, our neighbors and friends, and the natural resources that we are so lucky to be surrounded by.

Unlike many larger, well-known non-profits, the funds that are raised here are not diluted by national distribution; which many donors do not know. This initiative aims to remind donors and potential donors to back our beautiful East End community and all the people that make our home so great.

On Thursday, June 9th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., The "Give Where You Live" Campaign will celebrate its one year anniversary with a reception at the Rogers Mansion, in the Sayre Barn. Light refreshments will be served at the festivity, and admission is free.

The campaign is not a fund-raising platform; it is a marketing platform that helps introduce and open doors for individuals within the community to local non-profits that are based on the Eastern End of Long Island.

Some of the organizations that are members of the "Give Where You Live" campaign include The Amagansett Food Institute, The Center for Therapeutic Riding of the East End, The Coalition for Women's Cancers at Southampton Hospital, East End Hospice, The Ellen Hermanson Foundation, The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center, I-Tri, and The Southampton Hospital Foundation.

If you're a non-profit organization that would like to become a member of the "Give Where You Live" campaign or would like more information on how you can give locally, join the celebration. To RSVP, call the Southampton Historical Museum at 631-283-2494.

The Rogers Mansion is located at 17 Meeting House Lane in Southampton. For more information about the "Give Where You Live" Campaign, visit givewhereyoulivehamptons.org
