On Sunday, December 6th, Kent Animal Shelter will welcome animal lovers and their adored family members during a special meet and greet with Saint Nick at the Hotel Indigo, as part of the Calverton-based animal shelter's Annual Pet Photos with Santa & Holiday Social.

"Our annual Photos with Santa & Holiday Social has become a holiday tradition for families with pets," said Pam Green, Executive Director of the Kent Animal Shelter. "This year we're moving it to the pet-friendly Hotel Indigo where we'll set up a wonderful holiday display with refreshments and all of our guests will be warm and comfortable."

From 12 to 3 p.m., families and their pets can share a moment with Father Christmas, as professional photographer Kathleen O'Donnell captures the memorable visit. The afternoon will also feature raffles, prize baskets, refreshments, and pet gifts for sale, which were lovingly handmade by volunteers.

The fee for a snapshot with The Big Guy is a $10 donation per photo, with all proceeds benefiting the shelter's homeless animals. In the spirit of the season, attendees are encouraged to also bring a donation of pet food, treats, toys or clean bedding, which Kent will gratefully accept.

Hotel Indigo is located at 1830 West Main Street in Riverhead. For more information, call 631-727-5731 or visit www.kentanimalshelter.com.
