"Globetrotting" will take exhibit visitors on a trip around the world without actually having to leave the North Fork. The new show at the Alex Ferrone Photography Gallery will showcase a selection of photographs taken during the explorations of three East Coast photographers, Susan Dooley, Ray Germann, and Dave Burns.

"We have three award-winning photographers, each with varied photographic styles, each with diverse backgrounds, together in one beautiful exhibit featuring eclectic visions from the commonality of their their global journeys," shared Alex Ferrone. "We are looking forward to traveling with each photographer and visiting these places through their perceptions of different areas of the world."

Susan Dooley is a Long Island-based photojournalist, documentary photographer, curator, and educator that has worked as a freelance photographer and staff photographer for newspapers over the past 30 years. Her works have covered subjects including AIDS, breast cancer, African-American Women, Asia, her daily life and her travels.

Award-winning photographer Ray Germann is also based on Long Island. Germann shoots mostly in black & white, and has used the New York City street scene, people, architecture, and neighborhoods as inspiration for over 35 years, which can be seen in the New York Historical Society's permanent collection.

Boston-based award-winning photographer Dave Burns focuses on wildlife, travel, and landscape photography. He has photographically recorded his voyages from over 25 countries, showcasing more than 20 years of travel. The artist furthers his passion for worldwide exploration and shares his experiences through his photo safari tours company, which offers clients with unique travel and photographic adventures in exotic locations like the African Savanna.

An opening reception for "Globetrotting" will take place on Saturday, October 10th from 6 to 8 p.m. with local wine from Pellegrini Vineyards and hors d'oeuvres. The show will be on display through Wednesday, November 15th. Susan Dooley, Ray Germann, and Dave Burns will take part in a Free Gallery Talk on Sunday, October 18th from 1 to 3 p.m., where attendees can hear about the artist's adventures and works. Reservations are required for the lecture.
