"There's really not one singular idea of beauty anymore, which is great and liberating," shared Redken
Global Creative Director Guido. "It's all about bringing out your personality and adding little nuances here and there that really make a look feel more special and unique."
On Saturday, September 12th, Lady Gaga
, Anna Wintour
, Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd, Bella Hadid, Tyga, Kylie Jenner, Zoe Kravitz
, and Miguel were among front row attendees of the Alexander Wang Spring Summer 2016 New York Fashion Week Runway Show at Pier 94 in New York City
. To commemorate Alexander Wang's 10th anniversary show, Redken Global Creative Director Guido enhanced each model's unique personality with custom cuts. "Alex very much wanted to emphasize the realness - almost like the girls just walked off the street onto the runway in their own clothes," said Guido. "Each girl is really being left as she is."
Some models did receive a bit of an update like layers, or an extreme bang or fringe. "Although all of the looks are different, they all really go together and create a cohesive feeling on the runway," noted Guido. But mainly, the styling was about embracing your natural look.
How To Achieve The Look:
1. Start with clean hair by washing with Redken Frizz Dismiss Sulfate-Free Shampoo and Conditioner.
2. Use fingers to create a natural part and then allow hair to air dry.
3. Liberally spray Redken wind blown 05 dry finishing spray all over to enhance your hair's natural texture, until desired effect is achieved.
