Hamptons International Film Festival (HIFF) has once again partnered with Southampton Arts Center (SAC) to offer free screenings of classic movies at SAC throughout the summer. The films screen outdoors on the lawn and begin at approximately 8:30 p.m.

July screenings started on Friday, July 3rd, with George Lucas' "American Graffiti" starring Richard Dreyfuss, Ron Howard, Cindy Williams, and Wolfman Jack. The film follows a group of high school grads who spend one last night riding around the strip with their friends before they leave for college.

Next up is Emile Ardolino's "Dirty Dancing" on Friday, July 10th. The film, which stars Patrick Swayze, Jennifer Grey, and Jerry Orbach, follows Frances "Baby" Houseman, who is spending the summer in a holiday camp with her family. She falls hard for the camp's dance instructor Johnny Castle, creating a red-hot summer romance.

On Friday, July 17th, enjoy Billy Wilder's "Some Like it Hot" starring Tony Curtis, Marilyn Monroe, and Jack Lemmon. After two musicians witness a mob hit, the duo escape the state in an all female band disguised as women, but other complications arise.

Friday, July 24th features Phil Alden Robinson's "Field of Dreams." Kevin Costner, James Earl Jones, Amy Madigan, Gaby Hoffmann, and Ray Liotta star in the sports classic. After an Iowa corn farmer starts hearing voices, he believes they want him to build a baseball diamond in his fields. He does, and the Chicago Black Sox follow.
