"It's amazing how children can get anything to grow," said Hailey London, Garden Educator at Project MOST. "Maybe it is their little fingers and love."

On Saturday, May 30th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Project MOST and Springs Seedlings are holding a benefit Plant Sale. Browse through a fine selection of organic herbs, organic vegetables, and flowers, all of which were nurtured by a special group of gardeners.

"All of the plants for the plant sale are grown by Springs School students in the Springs Seedlings garden and greenhouse," noted London. "Our Art Auction on June 28th at Estia's will be in support of the greenhouse project."

Project MOST provides a safe, productive place for children to go during non-school hours. The Springs after-school program's The Seedlings Project started as an idea for a greenhouse, an opportunity for students to learn about growing produce and healthy eating. The garden classroom was created following the model of The Edible Schoolyard, a garden established by Alice Waters, Owner of Chez Panisse Restaurant in Berkeley, California. The project was made possible through land allocated by the Springs School District.

Project MOST is also hosting Eileen's Angels Art Auction & Garden Party on Sunday, June 28th.

The Springs School's Greenhouse is located at 48 School Street in East Hampton. For more information, visit www.projectmost.com.
