, this summer has seen nonstop activity at The Hampton Business District
, the visionary new business park under development by Rechler Equity
Partners at Gabreski Airport in Westhampton Beach. Long Island's largest owner and operator of commercial properties, Rechler Equity Partners will welcome its first tenants to the Hampton Business District in early 2015 with the completion of 220 Roger's Way.

When completed, The Hampton Business District will consist of nine buildings totaling 440,000 square feet. It will accommodate the needs of small and large businesses alike with available space ranging from 1,333 square feet up to 100,000 square feet. Also planned are a full-service hotel, a restaurant, a day care center, a health club, and a bank.

People driving by the site this summer are watching the progress as 220 Roger's Way takes shape and rises from its foundation. The 60,000-square-foot structure will offer Class A industrial/flex and showroom space — an ideal location for businesses that cater to the East End's strong residential construction sector. In fall 2015, development will begin on two state-of-the-art office and medical buildings totaling 54,000 square feet. Both 205 Roger's Way and 215 Roger's Way are designed to suit the needs of the region's growing healthcare sector, including urgent care centers and hospital satellite facilities.

Rechler Equity Partners has developed some of Long Island's first and largest business parks for over 55 years. Common to almost every project is the use of original sculptures, paintings, and photography to transform and complement the surrounding space. The Hampton Business District is no exception. In June, Rechler Equity Partners installed "Walking Figure," a 30-foot high aluminum outdoor sculpture by artist Donald Baechler
atop the roundabout on the main road leading into the business park.
"Locating the sculpture front and center lets people know right away that The Hampton Business District is in a class all its own," explained Mitchell Rechler. "Rechler Equity Partners is proud to continue the East End's long tradition of celebrating and promoting the arts by installing 'Walking Figure' where it can be enjoyed for years to come."
A world-renowned artist who has exhibited internationally since the early 1980s, Baechler was on hand for several days to supervise the installation of "Walking Figure," which depicts a striding figure and was commissioned by Rechler Equity Partners for The Hampton Business District.
Rechler added, "An ambitious project like The Hampton Business District called for art on a grand scale and we found it in Baechler's work."

Both Mitchell Rechler and Gregg Rechler have homes on the East End and support causes beyond the arts. "We believe that Rechler Equity Partners should play an active role in organizations whose mission it is to serve area residents," concluded Gregg Rechler.
This summer, for example, the company again presented the primary annual fundraising event for Maureen's Haven
, an area not-for-profit that provides shelter and meals to the East End's homeless population. The company also offers academic scholarships each year to a graduating senior at Westhampton Beach High School and Hampton Bays High School.
