The North Fork Education Initiative and Peconic Community School (PCS) are hosting the third annual SHARE: A Celebration of Education on Sunday, August 31, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. The benefit will take place at the Naugles Barn at the Hallockville Museum Farm in Riverhead.

This year, SHARE will honor Patricia Snyder, Executive Director of the East End Arts Council, and Richard Malone, Superintendent of Oysterponds School District. The evening is intended to celebrate the work of the students and staff from the Peconic Community School, a distinctive individualistic school located in Aquebogue.

"Peconic Community School has made remarkable strides over a very short period of time," noted Snyder. "PCS is brilliantly fulfilling a need by offering a new educational option to the East End. I am very pleased that East End Arts has had a small part to play in that success."

The event will feature Chef Michael Meehan of Noyac Golf Club, Arielle Ferrara of the Riverhead Project, CJ's American Grill, Joe & Liza's Ice Cream, Shinn Estate Vineyards, Leib Cellars, Southampton Ales & Lagers, Clawflowers, Glover Perennials and music by the Soul/Jazz Train Express.

The silent auction will include golf for four to the exclusive Friar's Head Golf Course, a Mohegan Sun Adventure, a vacation in Vermont and much more. You can bid online now through Thursday, August 28th at www.32auctions.com. The highest online bids will commence the silent auction on Sunday, August 31st.

Tickets are $100.

Hallockville Museum Farm is located at 6038 Sound Avenue in Riverhead. To purchase tickets, visit peconic.com.
