"Let me take a selfie." This summer, Hamptons Free Ride
is giving East End visitors and locals alike another excuse to utter the ever so popular phrase.
The social media phenomenon, which inspired the chart topping hit #Selfie by The Chainsmokers
, will be in full force from Southampton to Montauk, thanks to "selfie machines" the free beach shuttle installed on several of their vehicles.
"We had a ton of people getting into cars and taking pictures of themselves with cell phones," Hamptons Free Ride co-founder Alex Esposito told the New York Post. "We thought it might be fun to build [the machines]."
With routes in Amagansett, East Hampton, Montauk, and Southampton, we can't wait to see which famous faces hop on and use the new technology. The Kardashian's are opening a Dash Hamptons in Southampton, and they do love selfies.
Hamptons Free Ride runs 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. There are routes in Amagansett, East Hampton, Montauk, and Southampton.
