Visits from Santa, holiday hour tours, Victorian Christmas traditions, and The Nutcracker are just some of the holiday happenings on the North Fork.

The Cutchogue-New Suffolk Historical Society (www.cutchoguenewsuffolkhistory.org) is hosting an Old Fashioned Christmas Shop from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Carriage House on the Village Green, now until Tuesday December, 15.

Hallockville Museum Farm (6038 Sound Avenue, Riverhead, 631-298-5292, www.hallockville.com ) will celebrate Christmas with a special visitor on Sunday, December 8, from 12 to 3:30 p.m. Traditions of a Victorian Christmas will be showcased in the Hallock Homestead while Polish Christmas traditions will be displayed in the Cichanowicz Farmhouse. Hallockville will also have traditional holiday music, children's activities, antique toy exhibit, woodworking demonstrations, horse-drawn carriage rides, and fresh-baked mince tarts, babka, cider and hot chocolate.

Limited seating is available for the Peconic Landing's (1500 Brecknock Road, Greenport, 888-273-2664, www.peconiclanding.com) presentation of The Nutcracker on Sunday, December 8, at 4 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Eastern Long Island Hospital.

A Christmas Bazaar and Luncheon is being held on December 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Old Steeple Church (656 Main Road, Aquebogue, 631-722-3070). Pick up homemade cookies, handmade decorations and crafts, or peruse the "second time around" table of slightly used items.

The Cutchogue Holiday House Tour is on Saturday, December 7, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. While exploring four festive homes enjoy wine tastings, appetizers, and sweets. The cost is $50 per person, and advanced ticket purchase is required. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Historical Society. To reserve your spot call 631-734-8539.
