While temperatures in the Hamptons drop, the December performances at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center
(WHBPAC) will warm hearts with holiday spirit.
Children will be enchanted with the return of the amusing production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Other Eric Carle Stories on Tuesday, December 3, and Wednesday, December 4, at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Acclaimed Quebec troupe Le Théâtre Motus will follow with "Baobab," a cross-cultural journey for young ones on Thursday, December 5, at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Attendees will be transported to a magical world where the legendary Baobab tree lives.
Festive features start with holiday harmonies from Chanticleer
on Saturday, December 7 at 8 p.m.
WHBPAC's School Day Performances Series will host Slam Poetry by the Mayhem Poets, on Tuesday, December 10, at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 11, at 10 a.m. The trio of "spoken word" poets will bewitch tweens and teens.
The holiday spirit continues with a whimsical visit to the land of sweets when students from The Nancy & Frederick DeMatteis Arts Education Program join ballet professionals in Dancecore Ballet's adaptation of The Nutcracker
"Sweet" Ballet on Saturday, December 14, at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, December 15, at 3 p.m.
WHBPAC is located at 76 Main Street in Westhampton Beach. For more information call 631-288-1500 or visit whbpac.org.
