For a weekend of live music head to The Backyard Restaurant at Solé East (90 Second House Road, 631-668-2105, www.soleeast.com) in Montauk which kicks off with reggae talent Winston Irie and the Selective Security Band on Thursday, August 8th at 8 p.m. DJ Faze will spin on Friday, August 9, and on Saturday, catch DJ Ana poolside starting at 1 p.m. Also on Saturday, David Longstreth of The Dirty Projectors will perform a solo acoustic performance in the garden at 6:30 p.m. followed by late night music from DJ Faze at 10 p.m. Finish the weekend with a Jazz and Bosso Nova Brunch with music by Ludmilla and Marcello on Sunday, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Get an early start to your weekend early at the Stephen Talkhouse (161 Main Street, 631-267-3117, www.stephentalkhouse.com) in Amagansett on Thursday, August 8, with Black & Sparrow at 8 p.m. and NYC based Funk Rock band Watermelon at 10 p.m. On Friday, August 9, Loudon Wainwright III is performing at 8 p.m. followed by Back To The Eighties Show with Jesse's Girl at 10 p.m. Authentic Creole from Buckwheat Zydeco kicks off Saturday, August 10 at 8 p.m. and then get ready for your favorite 90's tracks from Bayside Tigers at 11 p.m. Sunday, August 11, features Dan Hicks & the Hot Licks at 7 p.m. followed by the infamous White Trash Party at 9 p.m. End Monday, August 12, with music from The Sectionals at 8 p.m. and DCE at 10 p.m. Enjoy a performance by Brad Cole on Tuesday, August 13, at 8 p.m. and Baby Johnson at 10 p.m.

History buffs hop aboard the annual Historic Boat Cruise (631-728-0887, www.hamptonbayshistoricalsociety.org) on the Hampton Lady which benefits The Hampton Bays Historical and Preservation Society. Meet at Soleau's Dock (Dune Road, Hampton Bays) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 8.

Stop by Guild Hall (158 Main Street, www.guildhall.org) in East Hampton for the opening reception of Chuck Close: Recent Works on Saturday, August 10, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Then head to Harper's Books (87 Newtown Lane, 631-324-1131, www.harpersbooks.com) in East Hampton for the opening reception of Stuart Sutcliffe's "Yea Yea Yea" from 6 to 8 p.m.

In East Hampton, DJ Kalkutta is spinning on Friday night at Pink Elephant (44 Three Mile Harbor Road, www.pinkelephantclub.com) and on Saturday catch Raffael de Luca.

This weekend Cadillac's Sound Waves @ The House will feature ?uestlove, #Massively Epic, (a collective of musicians, entertainers, artists, and producers that "make cool shit, have fun and dance,") and ELEW at The Montauk Beach House (55 South Elmwood Avenue, 631-668-2112, thembh.com) starting at 12 p.m. on Saturday.

Carrera Sunglasses presents a performance by Haerts at The Surf Lodge (183 Edgemere Street, 631-668-1562, www.thesurflodge.com) in Montauk on Saturday, and on Sunday, Revel In Dimes will open for Desert Noises.

Neil Diamond fans head to The Suffolk Theater (118 East Main Street, 631-727-4343, www.suffolktheater.com) in Riverhead on Saturday, at 8 p.m. for the Summer Saturday Supper club featuring Diamond One Hot Night The Premiere Neil Diamond Tribute.

DJ R3hab will be spinning at South Pointe (125 Tuckahoe Lane, 631-377-3536, www.southpointenightclub.com) in Southampton on Saturday and DJ Chachi is at SL East (44 Three Mile Harbor Road, emmgrp.com) in East Hampton.

Jamal Woolard is performing at Georgica (108 Wainscott Stone Road, 631-537-6255, www.georgicarestaurant.com) in Wainscott on Saturday. Woolard who portrayed hip-hop star Biggie Smalls in "Notorious" will be doing a short show to celebrate Franco Porporino Jr.'s birthday.

Navy Beach (16 Navy Road, 631-668-6868, navybeach.com) in Montauk has a sunset performance from Twister at 5 p.m. as part of One Love á La Plage Sundays.

Enjoy live music on the deck at East Hampton Point (295 Three Mile Harbor/Hog Creek Road, 631-329-2800, www.easthamptonpoint.com) with the Dan Bailey Reggae Band on Sunday and and Jim Turner Trio on Monday. Both performances are from 6:30 to 9 p.m
