Southampton - With Mitt Romney out in the Hamptons fundraising for his campaign the Hamptons were filled with political figures over the holiday weekend.

On Saturday, Elie Tahari and Guild Hall held a pre-performance and private cocktail event at the Elie Tahari East Hampton store for guests that attended the one time performance of Patty LuPone and Mandy Patinkin's performance of the acclaimed Broadway run of an Evening with Patty LuPone and Mandy Patinkin. The event was hosted by Alec Baldwin, Mary Jane and Charles Brock, Michael Clifford, Robert Levy, and Ken Kuchin. Guests included Regis Philbin and Joy Philbin, the new 'Mrs. Alec Baldwin' Hilaria Thomas, and the executive director of Guild Hall Ruth Applehof.

Over 200 guests turned out to Stitch in Southampton on Saturday for a benefit for Kryia Yoga Temple. Robin Cofer hosted the shopping event alongside committee members Lady Liliana Cavendish, Bonnie Evans, Lucia Hwong Gordon, Alisa Roever, Cassandra Seidenfeld, Leesa Rowland, Joe Alexander, Lisa Simonsen, Ian Phillips, Pamela Johananoff, Michelle Rella, Laura Nicklas, Lauren Roberts, R. Couri Hay and Liz Derringer. The chic boutique's owner Rose Dios welcomed everyone including Elaine Sargent and Michele Gerber Klein with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres from Seasons of Southampton and healthy treats from gourmet chef Zoe Bullock.

Peter Davis and Julie Dannenberg of Scene Magazine celebrated the arrival of the Marina B Jewelry Collection to Hollis Reh and Shariff in Southampton. Who's who of the Hamptons came out to support Hollis Reh & Shariff and shop the much buzzed about Marina B collection. While sipping on cocktails and nibbling on hors d'oeuvres, partygoers including Topper Mortimer and Couri Hay admired all the young women trying on the stunning Marina B jewelry.

Courtney Love performed a short set at The Surf Lodge on Saturday. Love who was seen texting the majority of time while at The Surf Lodge left with photographer Rob Rich who drove her to her next destination.

Members Only Concierge Club Quintessentially opened Quintessentially East a members and guests pop up at Southampton Social Club. On Saturday Quintessentially East launched with a workout from Mika Street of Uptown Pilates in the morning and Fourth of July BBQ in the afternoon. They will hold events every weekend through August 19.


 • Mitt Romney was spotted at the Southampton Inn. Romney was in the Hamptons for a fundraisers at Revlon chairman Ronald Perelman's 40-room castle, "The Creeks" and conservative billionaire David Koch's Southampton Estate.

 • Nick & Toni's was a celebrity hotspot this week. Tuesday night George Stephanopoulos and his wife Alexandra sat outside with friends while Senator Chuck Schumer and his wife and two friends dined inside. Jon Corzine and his wife dined with Mort Zuckerman and Producer Lorne Michaels dined with his wife and John Alexander. On Friday night Nathan Lane dined with friends while Ellen Barkin joined friends on the patio. Saturday night Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky enjoyed a dinner for two on the porch and Sunday night newlyweds Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Thomas enjoyed dinner with another couple.

 • Scarlett Johansson was spotted at Townline BBQ on the eve of July 4th enjoying some BBQ pork and fries with current boyfriend Nate Naylor. The duo enjoyed a late afternoon nosh in quiet corner table inside.

 • High profile, celebrity attorney, Dominic Barbara was seen enjoying the July 4th holiday with a Russian, blonde beauty at Southampton's hot-spot 75 Main.

 • On Thursday Governor Andrew Cuomo dined on the patio at Nammos with girlfriend Sandra Lee and the head of BMI Records.

 • Otto Knows spun on Friday night at South Pointe while Alesso was there celebrating his 21st birthday. He even jumped in the DJ booth with Otto Knows.

 • On Saturday Kelly Bensimon, Jamison Ernest, Linda V, Raphael Mazzucco, Russell James and Russell Simmons stopped by the new Blue&Cream East Hampton location on Main Street to check out supermodel Nicole Trunfio trunk show for Trunfio Jewels. Following the trunk show many guests dined and partied at Georgica Restaurant & Lounge.

 • Citizen Cope played a free concert on Saturday night at Sole East in Montauk. The crowds enjoyed both sets with rain disrupting the second set.

 • Australian supermodel Nicole Trunfio stopped by La Fondita on Sunday with a bunch of friends.

 • 12-year-old musical prodigy Emily Bear delighted guests of Southampton Inn with an impromptu concert on the Inn's Steinway piano. Bear had a piano moved into her room for the weekend.

 • Former All My Children starlet Susan Lucci, enjoying lunch with five girlfriends at Southampton hotspot 75 Main, also at another table enjoying lunch was Calvin Klein with friends.

 • New York's former Governor David Paterson enjoying lunch with ten colleagues at 75 Main Southampton discussing the idea of bringing casinos to The Hamptons.

 • Beth Ostrosky Stern was on set at East Hampton Studio this week, discussing her new book, "Oh My Dog," on In The Mixx with Gina Glickman Giordan. With a little encouragement from Stern and ARF (Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons), Sweet Cyanide's Angelo Fariello took home a faithful new friend at the end of the show.


On Wednesday, enjoy a performance by Mama Lee & Friends at Springs Close House in East Hampton from 5 to 7 p.m.

Also on Wednesday head to La Superica's Wednesday Night Sailing After Party which begins at 5 p.m.

On Thursday, July 12, the Montauket Sunset Set with acoustic music from Tom Muse beginning at 6 p.m

Enjoy craft cocktails this Saturday at Tenet Southampton from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Mixologist Max Messier, (The Brooklyn Bar Chef ) will be creating cocktails enhanced with Brugal Rum while guests enjoy music by DJ Twist.

On Saturday, head to Stephen Talkhouse for a performance by Dave Mason starting at 8 p.m.

Watch the sun go down at East Hampton Point with live reggae music at 6 p.m. on Sunday and then head to Stephen Talkhouse for more reggae during Reggae Sundays beginning at 10 p.m.

Head to Sole East for music all week and weekend long. On Wednesday Lawrence Cooley is bringing his alternative acoustic sound to The Backyard for a live performance from 7 to 10 p.m. On Thursday Zap and The Naturals perform beginning at 8 p.m. Friday listen to live acoustic music by Brendan Connelly from 7 to 10 p.m followed by a DJ starting at 10:30 p.m. Winston Irie & The Selective Security Band will play Saturday during Acoustic Sunset Sets" from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. On Sunday bossa nova duo Ludmilla and Marcello Pimenta will perform during a Jazz and Bossa Nova Brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Spanish duo Los Cintron returns to South Edison for performances on Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14. Los Cintron, comprised of brothers Rafael and Cristobal Cintron, presents a mix of flamenco, Latin and world music, often playing music of the renowned Gipsy Kings. The performances begin at 10:30 p.m. and are free.
