Monarch Butterflies Find Sanctuary at Halsey House

Thursday, August 20, 2020

11:00 am

The Monarch butterfly, one of the most iconic species in North America, protects pollinators. Many in Southampton have witnessed the annual migration of monarch butterflies who land in here in September on their way from Canada to Mexico. The Thomas Halsey Homestead on South Main Street is a Monarch Butterfly Waystation by Monarch Watch. Angie Babbitt is communications coordinator for Monarch Watch and holds a Masters in Environmental Studies from University of Kansas. Her talk is co-sponsored by Rogers Memorial Library.
