"In Process @ The Watermill Center" To Feature Physical Plastic And William Stewart

Nicole Barylski

On Saturday, March 25, from 2 to 4 p.m., The Watermill Center will highlight works by Watermill Artists-in-Residence, Physical Plastic and William Stewart, during In Process @ The Watermill Center.

Stewart, who is visiting the Hamptons for the first time, has found the area's uniqueness to be a catalyst. "The Watermill Center, the Hamptons' ocean light and the Shinnecock Reservation have and will continue to inspire me," he explained.

The painter's residence will focus on a new series of watercolor mono-prints that expand upon concepts he originally conceived during a 2015 residency with the Emily Harvey Foundation in Venice, Italy. Works on Paper, Stewart's abstract paintings series, will debut at The Watermill Center on Saturday, March 25 and remain on view through Wednesday, June 14, by appointment only.

Physical Plastic, a newly formed LA-based theater project founded by actor and director Kestrel Leah and composer, sound artist and sound designer Yiannis Christofides, will team up with visual artist Dasha Sur and choreographer Brigette Dunn-Korpela to develop a stage performance inspired by security alarms and the ancient Greek "Sirens" titled Alarm (Working Title) during their time at The Watermill Center.

Admission to In Process @ The Watermill Center is free.

The Watermill Center is located at 39 Water Mill Towd Road in Water Mill. For more information, call 631-726-4628 or visit www.watermillcenter.org.
