Interviewing actress Amanda Kristin Nichols is a wonderful treat. Having seen her on stage and on TV, one can only see the talent she is and talent she has with her stage presence. Her ability to just grab one's attention ensures stardom. There is no doubt her breakout roll is right around the corner!

Nichols is a graduate of London's The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where she received her BA in Acting, the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater and LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.

Bay Street Theater audiences will recognize her from the 2016 production of The Last Night of Ballyhoo, as well as the New Shakespeare Initiative and New Works Festival. Television and film credits include The Sinner, Mysteries at The Castle, Saturday in the Park, House of Teeth and Strider.

In an exclusive interview for Hamptons.com, the actress expressed great enthusiasm for Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts' The Teeming Autumn. "Bay Street reached out to me. I am so excited to be able to take part in a gathering!" she reflected. "People, many who I know...practically growing up on and at Bay Street Theater from a very young age, I know so many wonderful people who will be there. I love these people, the Bay Street community, the stage and of course Sag Harbor. I am so excited to be finally performing live." The sold out performance will be held on Saturday, October 3.

Noting that in the show she might be reciting some William Shakespeare, she fondly recalled, "Doing readings at the Globe [the famed recreation of the original Shakespeare venue] was something I enjoyed while I was studying in London."

As theater productions are very limited at the moment, the actress is keeping busy by fine-tuning her skills. "I am working on my own little projects, lots of on camera classes, some work is beginning to come up in little bits and pieces, but nothing in the docket," she noted.

Then, she added, "At this time, I am just grateful for the whole [Bay Street] community. To be able to do this gathering, to be at a gathering, to have Shakespeare in the air being performed outdoors at a gathering during these times is something to be extremely grateful for."

At the time of this interview, the assignments were not yet defined, but Nichols relayed, "Hopefully I get to do a sonnet! I am so familiar with so many Shakespearean rolls having studied them abroad in London. Doing this is so perfect on so many levels. I intend to have fun and bring joy to those there that evening. It's such an opportunity to do what I was trained to do and do it for people so dear to me."

Pay attention to the name Amanda Kristin Nichols because she will no doubt land a few of those coveted acting awards one day. She is the daughter of Dr. Barbara Nichols Kushner, who along with her husband Paul Kushner, are supporters of the arts and actually have appeared on the Bay Street Stage too.
