Where To See A Live Holiday Performance On The East End

If the holidays simply aren't complete without seeing a festive live production, you have several options in the Hamptons.

Studio 3's Mixed Nuts, a Nutcracker mash-up, will feature an Alice in Wonderland theme. The performances will encompass over 25 dancers, ages 6-18, who will take the stage at Bay Street (1 Bay Street, Sag Harbor, www.baystreet.org) on Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, December 15 at 1 p.m. Additionally, Bay Street will host a Holiday Sing-A-Long with Valerie diLorenzo on Friday, December 20 at 7:30 p.m. The evening will include cherished seasonal carols, hot cider, and a reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.

Creative Edge Studio's 5th Annual Holiday Spectacular will take over East Hampton High School (2 Long Lane, East Hampton, creativeedgedance.com) on Saturday, December 14 at 1 p.m. The family friendly show highlights local dancers from Montauk, Amagansett, Springs, East Hampton, Sag Harbor and Wainscott.

Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center (76 Main Street, Westhampton Beach, whbpac.org) will welcome Peconic Ballet Theatre, who will present The Nutcracker on Saturday, December 14 at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday, December 15 at 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. The holiday spectacular will feature local student dancers alongside professionals.

Another opportunity to see The Nutcracker will take place at Guild Hall (158 Main Street, East Hampton, www.guildhall.org). Presented by American Dance Theatre of Long Island, the full-length ballet, featuring students from the American Ballet Studio, as well as professionals from Manhattan, can be see on Saturday, December 14 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, December 15 at 1 p.m.

The Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol, is being presented by North Fork Community Theatre (NFCT) (12700 Old Sound Avenue, Mattituck, www.nfct.com) on Saturday, December 14 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, December 15 at 2:30 p.m. The story follows grumpy Ebenezer Scrooge, who with the assistance of four spirits changes his mean spirited ways. This NFCT production was adapted by Stuart Whalen, who will take on more than 20 roles during the one-person show.

Another beloved holiday tale, It's a Wonderful Life- A Live Radio Play 2019, can be seen at Suffolk Theater (118 East Main Street, Riverhead, www.suffolktheater.com) on Sunday, December 15. The nostalgic production will be performed live, in the style of the old tyme radio shows. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 6:30 p.m.
