The Hoodoo Loungers
' 10 year musical journey is coming full circle on Saturday, February 2 at 8 p.m. The East Coast-based band played their first show in the winter of 2009 at Bay Street Theater
in Sag Harbor, which is where it will celebrate its decade-long New Orleans Party Band experience during a 10th Anniversary Concert Celebration.

, who founded the band along with David Deitch.
The nine piece band, which is strongly influenced by New Orleans' rhythms, sounds, history and spirit, features Lauro on String/Electric Bass/Vocals, Deitch - who is also the band's arranger - on Keyboards/Accordian/Vocals, Dawnette Darden on Lead Vocals, Brian Sears
on Tenor and Baritone Sax, Ed Leone on Trombone, Gary Henderson on Trumpet, Michael Schiano on Lead Guitar Dave Giacone on Drums, and Marvin Joshua on Vocals.
Not only will attendees enjoy The HooDoo Loungers' classic songs, but the evening will also showcase some new original music and tunes from their recent award-winning CD, Head & Heart & Hips.
Additionally, they will play tunes from their recent Sly & The Family Stone and Aretha Franklin
The Hoodoo Loungers will welcome a few special guests to celebrate the momentous occasion. "We are expecting some very special friends including Morris Goldberg
and Dan Koontz to help us set the room on fire!" Lauro added. Goldberg played sax and penny whistle on Graceland
, Paul Simon
's Grammy-winning album, while Koontz, an accomplished composer, serves as organist and choir director for Sag Harbor's Christ Episcopal Church.
This 10 year anniversary will certainly be a special evening in the Sag Harbor community.
Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 on the day of the event.
