"Ms. Netrebko sounded wonderful, singing with plush, penetrating sound and affecting character," said Anthony Tommasini in a New York Times
review of the production. "I have seldom heard a more vocally exquisite and powerfully expressive account of the aching, and very difficult, aria "D'amor sull'ali rosee," when Leonora sends thoughts of longing to her beloved Manrico, who is in prison awaiting death."
Reception and Presentation tickets are $50. Tickets to the screening of Verdi's "Il Trovatore" are $22 for non-members, $20 for members and $15 for students.
