in East Hampton as part of HamptonsFilm's Now Showing

) but The Mission
is his magnum opus. With cinematography by Chris Menges, a remarkable cast and music by Ennio Morricone, the film is both gorgeous and powerful," Baldwin, who will take part in a post film conversation, noted.
The film stars Jeremy Irons
, Robert De Niro
, Liam Neeson, Aidan Quinn, Ray McAnally, and Cherie Lunghi. The Mission
follows Father Gabriel (Irons), a Jesuit priest that is sent to the jungles of Brazil to construct a mission station and convert a Guaraní community to Christianity. Upon arriving, he encounters Rodrigo Mendoza (Robert De Niro), a reformed slave trader looking for redemption that joins Father Gabriel's efforts. When Portugal purchases Brazil from Spain, and the Portuguese government seek to use the natives for slave labor, the duo must band together and put their differences aside to preserve the mission.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 ($20 for members).
