, an innovative, not-for-profit CCAC-CARF-accredited continuing care retirement community (CCRC) located in Greenport, is saying goodbye to summer with a bang during its annual End of Summer Celebration and Fireworks Show. The Labor Day
weekend festivity is open to all and will take place on Sunday, September 3 at 7 p.m.
"There is much to celebrate as we reflect on 15 years of community growth and innovation. For those of us that live or work at Peconic Landing, this community has come to mean so much. It brings us purpose, friendship and even laughter at times. We are all very fortunate to be a part of the Peconic Landing family," said Robert J. Syron, President and CEO of Peconic Landing. "We invite all of our neighbors to help us celebrate the occasion with an incredible fireworks show."
The beloved community event is attended by over 500 guests each year. In addition to the fireworks spectacular, the evening will feature a live performance by the 40-member Atlantic
Wind Symphony, which is comprised of musicians from across Long Island. Held on the patio at Peconic Landing's Brecknock Hall, the Symphony will entertain the crowd with popular songs by George Gershwin
and John Philip Sousa, and classic Broadway hits. Additionally, the holiday weekend event will include a salute to Veterans and current service members and commemorate police and volunteer fire officials.
