Ugly Christmas sweater fans are in luck the weekend before Yuletide celebrations commence, because two Amagansett favorites are paying tribute to the horrendously awesome getup.
On Saturday, December 19th, Indian Wells Tavern (117 Main Street, Amagansett, 631-267-0400, www.indianwellstavern.com) is presenting an Ugly Sweater Party in honor of the holidays. From 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., attendees will enjoy music from a DJ and drink specials, and have the chance to bring home top honors for the tackiest jumper. The winner of the most dreadful sweater will leave with $100, while the runner up walks away with $50. So make sure to come in a gem, because this time it actually pays to leave the house wearing a fashion crime.
The Stephen Talkhouse (161 Main Street, Amagansett, 631-267-3117, stephentalkhouse.com) is holding its 4th annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party on Saturday, December 19th, starting at 10 p.m. Along with a sea of Christmas catastrophes, the festivities will feature the final 2015 concert from Hello Brooklyn, who will play a fusion of pop, hip-hop, and rock and roll. Be ready to sing and dance along to the high energy New York City-based band as they perform beloved pop songs, hip-hop classics, and dance hits.
