Hamptons Holiday Markets Popping Up Across The East End

Like to shop local and accomplish your holiday shopping early? Check out these Hamptons holiday markets.

Last minute shoppers will appreciate East End Arts' Holiday Gift Boutique (133 East Main Street, Riverhead, www.eastendarts.org), which is open now through Saturday, December 22. Locally made ornaments, greeting cards, jewelry and wearables, home goods and crafts, holiday books, and more will be on display Fridays from 12 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Holiday Gift Boutique will be closed on Friday, November 23.

For the first time ever, Hallockville Museum Farm's (6038 Sound Avenue, Riverhead, www.facebook.com) Country Parlor will be held over two weekends. A winter wonderland will take over the historic Naugles Barn starting Friday, November 23 through Sunday, November 25, and again Saturday, December 1 through Sunday, December 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. - with the exception of the opening day when the Parlor will open at 9 a.m. The Holiday Folk Art & Gift Show will highlight handmade items from local artisans and craftspeople, including rustic Santas, tree ornaments, holiday home décor, baskets, handmade pottery pieces, stocking stuffers, and more.

A Holiday Trunk Show/Benefit featuring Joan Hornig Jewelry will be held at Parrish Memorial Hall (235 Herrick Road, Southampton) on Thursday, November 29, from 1 to 4 p.m. Hosted by the Southampton Hospital Foundation, the afternoon will showcase Pavé the Way Jewelry by Joan Hornig, and all profits from each purchase will benefit Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, or the buyer's choice of a specific Hospital department/program. The Sag Harbor Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will host its 6th annual Girls Night Out, A Night of Holiday Shopping, at the Sag Harbor Fire Department (1357 Brick Kiln Road, Sag Harbor, www.facebook.com) on Thursday, November 29 from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is $15 or $10 with a non-perishable food or personal hygiene product donation for the Sag Harbor Food Pantry. There will be a variety of vendors, 50/50 raffle and Chinese Auction, wine and goodies, and holiday cheer.

A Holiday Fair that supports the work of Southold Historical Society will take place at 970 Peconic Lane in Peconic on Saturday, December 1, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festive event will boast the works of a wide range of vendors and creative local artisans. There will also be a bake sale and "café," crafts room, face painting for children, and a visit with Santa (from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.). Photos with Santa and admission to the event are free. Suffolk County Historical Society (300 West Main Street, Riverhead, suffolkcountyhistoricalsociety.org) will host the 8th Annual Wooden Wonderland - Holiday Craft Show & Sale on Saturday, December 1, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The unique event will showcase local handmade wooden items, as well as other local artisans' wares - such as holiday arts & crafts, ornament, home décor, rustic Santas and gnomes, unique handmade carvings, handmade soaps and candles, hats and scarves, and much more. There will also be live woodworking and woodcarving demonstrations. Admission is free.

The 8th Annual Friends Bazaar at Ashawagh Hall (780 Springs-Fireplace Rd, East Hampton) will be held on Saturday, December 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The one-day shop will feature original art, fine crafts, ceramics, glass, mosaics, leather goods, paintings, jewelry, woodware, home decor, fiber works, weavings, scarves, hats, cards, soaps and skin products, baby knits and more. A Merry Madoo Holiday Fair is taking over The Madoo Conservancy (618 Sagg Main Street, Sagaponack, www.madoo.org) on Saturday, December 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition to Madoo-made items, such as clove-studded Lady Apple pomanders, fresh-cut greens from the garden, and top-size (Madoo-grown) paper whites, there will be a select group of vendors including Gretchen Comly Design, Ergun Khorchin New York, Arthur Golabek Flowers, Abigail Vogel, Sag Harbor Florist, Anna Clejan, and Susan Nieland Jewelry on display. The Madoo shop will offer Sneeboer garden tools, Madoo pottery and other exciting garden presents, and there will also be a Creative Wreath Making Class with Anastasia Casale, Sag Harbor Florist founder, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

A Holiday Bazaar will visit First Presbyterian Church Session House (120 Main Street, East Hampton, www.fpceh.org) on Saturday, December 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The "treasure trove of unique gift items for everyone on your gift list" will include handcrafted jewelry, home goods, apparel, gourmet foods, home baked goods, health and beauty products. The Session House, which will be decked out in seasonal merriment, will also welcome a very special guest, Santa Claus.

The 8th Annual Homegrown for the Holidays Artisanal Food & Craft Bazaar returns to Hayground School (151 Mitchell Lane, Bridgehampton, www.facebook.com) on Saturday, December 8, from 12 to 4 p.m. Over 50 local vendors will display their exceptional, handcrafted food, art, jewelry and gifts.

The North Fork Art Collective Holiday Market will take over Sound View Greenport (58775 Route 48, Greenport, www.facebook.com) on Saturday, December 8, from 12 to 5 p.m. The annual pop up, co-hosted and curated by the North Fork Art Collective, will offer festive drinks, holiday shopping, a raffle featuring items donated by each vendor, a stay-cation at Sound View Greenport and a 5lb bag of coffee from North Fork Roasting Company, family portraits with Santa, and more. Later on in the month, the Collective will join forces with The Art Bus Project for another holiday market, this time at Borghese Vineyard (17150 County Road 48, Cutchogue, www.facebook.com). Taking place on Saturday, December 15 and Sunday, December 16, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., both days will boast an array of works from local artists and artisans, complimentary tours of The Art Bus Project, an exhibit on wheels, an interactive photo booth, Christmas crafts, a gift wrapping station, and more.

The Spur (280 Elm Street, Southampton, www.facebook.com) will host a Holiday Craft Market on Sunday, December 9, from 12 to 5 p.m. The afternoon will offer a myriad of local crafts and artisans.

The 20th annual By Hand Artisan's Holiday Gift Show is back at Ashawagh Hall (780 Springs Fireplace Road, East Hampton) on Saturday, December 15, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday December 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On both days, local artisans will display their handmade goods, including fused glass, knits and felted wool, specialty yarn, sea glass, skincare, soaps, beaded bags, mosaics, wooden toys, original jewelry, homemade jams and more. Stick + Stone is hosting an Artisan Holiday Market at Grain Surfboards (11 Indian Wells Highway, Amagansett, www.stickandstone.org) on Sunday, December 16 from 12 to 5 p.m. In addition to items from Stick and Stone and Grain Surfboards, there will be a dozen East End artisans that will showcase jewelry, ceramics, scrimshaw, leather goods, fiber arts, photography, art, apparel, woodwork, soaps and lotions, fresh wreaths, and more.
