, on view Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25, will feature works by Phyllis Chillingworth, Annie Sessler, and John Todaro. The pop up exhibition will encompass oils, acrylics, watercolors, fish prints, drawings and photography, with a special focus on the artists' latest creations.
Chillingworth's oil paintings and watercolors highlight color and movement. The Institute of Design, IIT, and Yale
School of Art and Architecture graduate draws inspiration from her surroundings in Montauk. Later this year she will be featured in a solo show at Atlantic
Gallery in New York City
Sessler's Gyotaku fish prints and new charcoal drawings will be spotlighted. Her artistic process begins with printmaking, which sparks her creativity leading to exciting new end results. The artist's work has appeared in The New York Times
as well as on the CBS Morning Show
and can be seen often in the Hamptons.
Todaro, who studied with master printer Anthony Nobile, also regularly exhibits in the Hamptons, including permanent displays at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital
. He has concluded that to fully grasp the art form, command of the printing process is essential. Spring Tones
will showcase Todaro's latest color and black and white landscapes and abstractions.
"An event to underscore the change of season: refreshing new work by all three artists, a twilight reception (thanks to the longer days) and juggling/live music on the patio at Ashawagh Hall -- a breath of fresh air," Todaro noted.
will be on display from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 24 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 25. The opening reception will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, and juggling and live music will entertain attendees on Saturday from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Admission is free.
