Kate Winslet, Leslie Odom, Jr., And Steven Yeun Taking Part In HIFF's "A Conversation With..."

With just a few weeks left until the 28th annual Hamptons International Film Festival (HIFF), HamptonsFilm has unveiled the entire 2020 program.

Academy Award®-winning actress Kate Winslet and critically acclaimed actor Steven Yeun will participate in the Festival's "A Conversation With..." series. Winslet's latest film, Francis Lee's Ammonite, will screen in the Spotlight section. As will Yeun's latest project, Lee Isaac Chung's Minari. Tony Award and Grammy Award-winning singer and actor Leslie Odom, Jr., who stars in the Festival's opening night film, One Night in Miami, will also take part in the series.

Additional Spotlight titles include Darius Marder's Sound of Metal and Tara Miele's Wander Darkly, as well as Edson Oda's Nine Days, Florian Zeller's The Father, and Chloé Zhao's Nomadland, which were previously announced.

"We enthusiastically welcome Kate Winslet and Steven Yeun as a part of our 'A Conversation With...' series, whose beautiful performances in Ammonite and Minari are incredibly compelling and moving," said Anne Chaisson, Executive Director of the Hamptons International Film Festival. "Our programming team has once again pulled together the best in cinema from around the world. There is something for everyone to enjoy whether at home or at the drive-in."

In addition to Rick Korn's Harry Chapin: When In Doubt, Do Something, the Views From Long Island section will feature Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw's The Truffle Hunters, as well as Wander Darkly.

The World Cinema section will boast Michael Angelo Covnio's The Climb, Shalini Kantayya's Coded Bias, Alex Gibney's Crazy, Not Insane, Ekwa Msangi's Farewell Amor, Werner Herzog's Fireball: Visitors From Darker Worlds, Victor Kossakovsky's Gunda, Phyllida Llyod's Herself, Christine Molloy & Joe Lawlor's Rose Plays Julie, Christian Petzold's Undine, and Kim A. Snyder's Us Kids. Lisa Immordino Vreeland's Truman & Tennessee: An Intimate Conversation will also screen as part of the World Cinema section.

The Documentary Competition section will encompass Alexander Nanau's Collective and Mischa Richter's I Am a Town. As announced previously, Garrett Bradley's Time will screen in the Documentary Competition, the Air, Land & Sea program will feature the U.S. Premiere of Nathan Grossman's I Am Greta and the Compassion, Justice & Animal Rights program will showcase Elizabeth Lo's Stray. The Narrative Competition Section will feature Filippo Meneghetti's Two of Us, Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese's This Is Not a Burial, It's a Resurrection, and Heidi Ewing's I Carry You with Me.

"We are excited to finalize our program with a diverse and eclectic group of titles that will open our audience's eyes to new cultures, unique stories, and different perspectives," said David Nugent, Artistic Director of HIFF. "Our competition sections bring together some of the most cutting-edge and groundbreaking films, and we are thrilled to include them in this year's lineup."

The World Premiere of Glenn Kaino and Afshin Shahidi's With Drawn Arms will serve as the Festival's opening night film.

The 28th annual Hamptons International Film Festival will take place Thursday, October 8 through Wednesday, October 14.
