Southampton - Fill your cookie jars! In a taste test of 18 store-bought and fast food chocolate chip cookies, Tate's Bake Shop's chocolate chip variety was rated "Excellent" and chosen as the best chocolate chip cookie on the market by Consumer Reports (December 2011).

"Tate's Bake Shop's chocolate chip cookies are baked as you would bake them at home: with the best, all-natural ingredients," said Kathleen King, Owner and Founder of Tate's Bake Shop. "We are thrilled that our cookies stood apart in an independent taste test and hope to share our classic chocolate chip cookies with many new fans."

Consumer Reports singled out Tate's Bake Shop's chocolate chip cookies for their big butter and chocolate flavors and smooth chocolate chips.

Local Hamptons residents have known this sweet news for years. Tate's Bake Shop's chocolate chip cookies were voted "best cookie" in Dan's Papers annual "Best-of-the-Best of the Hamptons 2011" reader poll, earning the Platinum Award.

In July, King won top honors at the 2011 Fancy Food Show in Washington, DC, earning a Gold SOFI Award - known as the Oscars of the baking industry - for Tate's Bake Shop's whole wheat dark chocolate chip cookies.

Tate's Bake Shop's all-natural cookie line is distributed to gourmet stores and high-end grocery chains across the country and is available online
