Love a good holiday ugly sweater party? On Friday, December 1 kick-off the weekend at the Maureen's Haven
Homeless Outreach Ugly Sweater Party, presented by Bridgehampton National Bank
(BNB) & Beach 101.7.
"Sometimes ugly sweaters really make a beautiful difference and BNB is proud to be a partner in this Maureen's Haven event, which raises funds to serve the needs of the homeless in our area," noted Claudia Pilato, BNB VP Director of Marketing.
The seasonal spectacular will be held at Jamesport Farm Brewery in Riverhead from 6 to 9 p.m. Whether you plan on buying your masterpiece, channeling your artistic side and making your own monstrosity, or already have one in mind, make sure it's a doozy because there's an Ugly Sweater Contest, with prizes being awarded for ugliest - of course, most creative, most inappropriate, festive, funniest, and least original. The evening will also include food by Lucharitos & Magic Fountain, 12 Days of Christmas Raffle Baskets, and a 50/50.
"We are so excited about our 3rd Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party! This year, we are at a new venue - Jamesport Farm Brewery," Maryann Gensler, LMSW, Executive Director of Maureen's Haven Homeless Outreach, shared. "The owners, Anthony and Melissa, have been so generous and gracious to us. Super excited to have 101.7 Beach and BNB with us! Great fun for a great cause!"
Admission is $30 in advance and $35 at the door, which includes food and a four beer flight.
Maureen's Haven's mission is to "provide safe, warm temporary shelter to homeless individuals from November through March, utilizing volunteer houses of worship and congregation volunteers. The host facilities and supporting organizations provide much more than a place to sleep and a nutritious meal." Over the past decade, the organization has provided shelter and services to over 3,500 homeless men and women.
Jamesport Farm Brewery is located at 5873 Sound Avenue in Riverhead. For more information, call 631-727-6831 or visit maureenshaven.com. For tickets, visit brownpapertickets.com.
