There's good news for fans of East Hampton Historical Society's treasured signature summer event. The 2020 East Hampton Antiques & Design Show is still happening, however this year's shopping experience will take place virtually.

The weeklong event will kick-off with a Virtual Antiques Show Party on Friday, July 17. The opening festivities will feature some of the Show's favorite dealers, who will be highlighting their most beloved antiques and design accessories during a unique virtual show on Instagram. To browse the picks, search #easthamptonantiquesdesignshow. Then, it's time to shop for some incredible finds. As per usual, the East Hampton Antiques & Design Show will showcase a magnificent selection of artful objects and stylish home designs. The digital iteration will also encompass exciting creative experiences. Sponsored by Doyle Auction House, the Online Auction will be held from Friday, July 17 through Friday, July 24.

"Pull up a lounge chair and enjoy the sea breeze, knowing that you're supporting the East Hampton Historical Society's many museums and educational programs," said Maria Vann, Executive Director of the East Hampton Historical Society.

The East Hampton Antiques & Design Show will offer an array of unique finds donated by notable designers, including Aerin Lauder, Jonathan Adler, Charlotte Moss, Kim Seybert, and Marshall Watson, to name just a few. Rare works of art, courtesy of the East Hampton Historical Society, will also be up for bid. Highlights include exceptional pieces by Thomas Moran and Claus Hoie, and watercolors by David Arbus.

There will also be creative experiences, such as "COVID Cocktails" (wine and hors d'oeuvres) hosted at the home of designer Marshall Watson - with a properly distanced guided tour of the house and garden, auctioned off.

For those currently content with their home decor, the East Hampton Historical Society is offering the chance to give back to the community by supporting East End ambulance corps. There will be an unlimited number of $50 restaurant gift certificates to local eateries that donors may purchase in support of local first responders. They will be split between ambulance corps in East Hampton Town.

All bids on Online Auction items can be made via East Hampton Historical Society's website.

Those that purchase a ticket to the Virtual Antiques Show Party will receive a personally delivered swag bag featuring East End delectables and wine. Tickets to the digital soiree, which include the swag bag and a tax-deductible donation to the East Hampton Historical Society, are $150. Gift bags will be delivered solely to South Fork ticket holders. Those that reside elsewhere may pick theirs up at the East Hampton Historical Society office (101 Main Street) once social distancing has been lifted.

The East Hampton Antiques & Design Show is held in support of the East Hampton Historical Society, whose mission is to "serve the residents and visitors of East Hampton by collecting, preserving, presenting and interpreting the material, cultural and economic heritage of the town and its surroundings."
