The Stephen Talkhouse
in Amagansett will have a spectacular lineup of headliners on Friday, February 28 during the Third Annual Share the Harvest
"We're enormously grateful to the musicians, the Talkhouse, and Fred Raimondo for donating their time and talents to our benefit concert," Jess Tonn of Share the Harvest Farm relayed. "Community support keeps our farm going all year long--from the spring seeding we are doing now to the harvesting we will do all summer, fall, and into the winter."
This year's talent will include an impressive group of East End-based singer-songwriters, which was curated by Fred Raimondo. "It's a fun and exciting line-up featuring top notch East End performers Klyph Black, OC/DC (Sarah Greene and Cynthia Daniels
), Joe Delia
and PJ Delia, The Potter Tekulksy Band, Mike LeClerc, Kevin Twigg, Greta Quezada and myself," Raimondo shared.
"Playing music to help support 'Share the Harvest' is very fulfilling," PJ Delia, who will be joining husband Joe onstage, added. "It spreads tiny beneficent ripples through the community--from the joyous sharing of music on stage, to the happy reception of it offstage, to the cash into the coffers making farming possible, to the land brimming with vegetables, and finally to those vegetables boosting the health of local residents. Joe and I are very excited to be a small part of this happy process."
Proceeds from the Third Annual Share the Harvest Concert will support the non-profit farming organization's mission to help feed local families facing food insecurity. Share the Harvest, which began on a half acre in 2010, now consists of seven acres in East Hampton. The organization grows and harvests high-quality, nutritious produce that it donates to local organizations who address food insecurity on the East End - such as South Fork food pantries, The Retreat
, affordable housing complexes, East Hampton Town Senior Citizens Nutrition Center, and more. Additionally, Share the Harvest manages the EECO Farm Stand (55 Long Lane, East Hampton), which features the non-profit's fresh produce and locally sourced treats - such as artisanal breads, cheeses, jams, sauces and pies. All proceeds from the seasonally open stand assist with operations costs and the organization's charitable endeavor.
"This is my third year being a part of the event," Raimondo added. "I was invited by Max [Plesset] and the Share The Harvest team in 2018 and the event has gotten better each year. The first two were singer/songwriter events. This year we thought we'd change the format a little and get folks up dancing as well."
The fun will commence at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the door.
"Thanks to all who support our farm's efforts to feed hundreds of families in need each year," Tonn said. "We can't wait to celebrate the beginning of the 2020 season with you at the Talkhouse on the 28th!"
