The Southampton History Museum will be holding its annual signature summer event, the annual Halsey House Gala,
on Saturday evening, July 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the gardens of The Thomas Halsey Homestead
. Entitled The Beach Ball,
this year's theme comes courtesy of the Estate of Roy Lichtenstein
. The late artist's iconic 1961 painting, Girl with Ball,
will serve as the inspiration for the invitation design and gala tent décor.

, Executive Director of the Southampton History Museum. "What could be more perfect for an early July celebration in a seaside town?"
The event typically welcomes more than 400 guests with a full bar, generously provided by Herbert & Rist Wine & Liquor Shop, hors d'oeuvres prepared by Hamptons favorite Robbins-Wolfe Eventeurs, an enticing silent auction and an evocative beach party soundtrack courtesy of renowned DJ Joel of Jarrell Entertainment, all set in the beautiful garden of Halsey House.
This year the Southampton History Museum is celebrating its 120th anniversary. The Museum's mission is to preserve and promote the history and culture of Southampton. It does this primarily by managing four separate properties with 14 historic buildings that contain changing exhibits, a research center and educational programs for schoolchildren and adults.

theme will be the most exciting version yet for our annual Halsey House Gala
," Edmonds added. "Funds from this event support the repair and restoration of The Thomas Halsey Homestead, established in 1648 and NYS oldest, wood-frame house."
Proceeds from the Gala support the maintenance of Halsey House, all the Museum's preservation efforts, and funding for educational programs both at their various museum locations and within their local schools.
Admission to the Halsey House Gala
are $200 in advance and $250 the day of event. Tickets for those ages 21-35 are $100 in advance and $150 the day of event.
