The Parrish Art Museum will host its Midsummer Party on Saturday, July 9th. The evening will kick-off with cocktails at the Museum at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner on the Mildred C. Brinn Terrace at 8 p.m., and conclude with the Parrish Contemporaries Circle (PCC) After Party in the Lichtenstein Theater at 10 p.m.

"The Midsummer Party is the highlight of the Museum's summer season, where we transform the Museum into a once-in-a-lifetime experience," said Parrish Director Terrie Sultan. "This year, with honoree Barbara Slifka, Honorary Co-Chairs Emily Mortimer and Alessandro Nivola, and the launch of our special Platform project with Jonah Bokaer, we are certain that the evening will be one to remember."

The 2016 Midsummer Party will be hosted by Parrish Art Museum Director, Terrie Sultan, and will honor Barbara J. Slifka. Co-chairs include Deborah F. Bancroft, Laura Lofaro Freeman, James L. Freeman, H. Peter Haveles, Chad A. Leat, Nicole Miller, Kim Taipale, Michele and Steven Pesner, Robin and Frederic M. Seegal, and Carol and Michael Weisman.

The evening will feature a festive social gathering of artists, art collectors, curators, philanthropists, and business leaders from the Hamptons and beyond. There will be delicious dining, fun dancing, and an opportunity to preview the inauguration of Platform: Jonah Bokaer, as well as the Museum's current exhibitions, Radical Seafaring and the Permanent Collection: Connections and Context.

Platform: Jonah Bokaer (on view Saturday, July 9th through Sunday, October 16th) is a limitless offer for a solo artist to view the Parrish as a prospective spot "for works that transcend disciplinary boundaries." Bokaer, an interdisciplinary artist, combines choreography, visual art, film, sound, and artistic research. His works investigate the relationship between choreography and the expression of movement.

Radical Seafaring (on view Sunday, May 8th through Sunday, July 24th) connects contemporary "offshore art" with land, performance, and conceptual arts of the 1960s and 1970s. The exhibit features works ranging from artist-made vessels to documentation of creative expeditions.

Lastly, The Permanent Collection: Collections and Context (on view through October) presents roughly 70 paintings, sculptures, and works on paper in nine thematic, mini-narratives that explore the concept of dialogue, specifically how artworks interact with each other. Some works in this exhibit have been presented at the Parrish Art Museum and others are being shown for the very first time.

Dinner will be catered by Olivier Cheng Catering & Events, the décor is courtesy of Ron Wendt Design and Coleman Music will provide the evening's melodies.

Dinner table tickets are $50,000 for 12 tickets in premier seating, $25,000 for 12 tickets in preferred seating, and $15,000 for 10 tickets. Individual dinner tickets are $2,500 per person in the "glass" category or $1,500 per person in the "aluminum" section. PCC members and invited guests are welcome to dancing, drinks, and dessert at the After Party from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
