Recently, Peconic Bay Medical Health System (PBMC Health) received its largest philanthropic gift to date from the Louis Feil Charitable Lead Annuity Trust. The gift of the $5 million donation to the Capital
Fund for the creation of the Manorville Ambulatory Campus will significantly accelerate the completion of the campus, which is desperately needed in the highly healthcare underserved areas of Manorville, Eastport, East Moriches and their surrounding communities.

In appreciation of the $5 million donation and in recognition of the Feil family's extraordinary support, PBMC announced that it will name its new facilities "The Gertrude and Louis Feil Campus for Ambulatory Care." The announcement took place at a dedication ceremony held in the stunning lobby of the Peconic Bay Medical Center
in Riverhead, complete with a wine and hors d'oeuvres reception. During the event a live newsfeed broadcast the unveiling of the new sign on the construction site in Manorville naming the campus in honor of Gertrude and Louis Feil.
The development of the campus is recognition of the growing community population on Long Island's East End, the need under Federal healthcare reform to develop medical services beyond hospital care, and PBMC Health's focus on wellness and preventative healthcare. The new four-building medical campus will include over 25,000 square feet of medical and ambulatory care offices, designed as a state-of-the-art medical complex with a pharmacy and several retail stores.
"PBMC Health is excited to create this world-class medical campus equipped with the most advanced, state-of-the-art medical technology and staffed by professionals committed to excellence and compassionate care within a healing environment," explained Andrew Mitchell
, President and CEO of PBMC Health and Peconic Bay Medical Center. "Building upon our rich history, this new addition to PBMC Health will ensure we can further support our commitment to East End communities by providing exceptional and efficient healthcare, stimulating the local economy by creating jobs and successfully support our residents by providing the highest quality healthcare available."

On hand representing the Feil family was Jeffrey J. Feil, CEO of the Feil Organization and President of the Feil Family Foundation, along with his wife Lee. He was introduced by fellow philanthropist and prodigious PBMC philanthropic donor John Kanas who described his friend as, "As an incredibly humble man who God has given the good sense to take the resources he had the skill to acquire and return a significant portion of them to the community."
Like John and Elaine Kanas
after their significant donation to PBMC that created the Kanas Center for Advanced Surgery, the Feils were presented with their own set of hospital scrubs at the conclusion of the dedication ceremony by Mitchell.
Among the almost 100 supporters, staff, media, business leaders and politicians on hand were Brookhaven Town Supervisor Edward Romaine
who presented Feil with a Town Proclamation acknowledging his generosity and community support. Also attending was former Suffolk County Executive and PBMC Health Board Member Robert Gaffney who described the impact of the new ambulatory campus as, "It is going have a dramatic impact because it going to be able to bring an elevated form of care for everyone living in that part of the East End. There are three key words: quality, affordability and availability! The Gertrude and Louis Feil Ambulatory Campus will bring all those things to the table for the community it will serve."
