Over a dozen musicians along with South Fork elected officials and others gathered at the Hurricane Benefit at LTV studios to help raise money for Long Island victims of the Hurricane. County Legislator, Jay Schneiderman said "Every penny will go to the relief." There will be eight beneficiaries according to Mr. Schneiderman which will include four local governments (the Village of East Hampton, the Town of East Hampton, the Town of Southampton, and the Town of Riverhead) who will designate a not-for-profit that is working on relief efforts. The other four charities include the Long Island Red Cross, the Salvation Army of Long Island, Island Harvest, and Long Island Cares.

The benefit included a 50/50 Art Show, Silent Auction and raffle prizes, which were provided by many local businesses and establishments.

Some of the local musicians who each performed a 10-minute set included Gene Casey (of the Lone Sharks), Mick Hargreaves, Inda Eaton, Caroline Doctorow, The Thunderbird Sisters, Alfredo Merat, and Dylan Janet Collins.

WPPB's Bonnie Grice along with Jay Schneiderman served as hosts for the evening.
