Broadway's BUDDY: The Buddy Holly Story
is coming to the East End. Music lovers are going to want to be sure to snatch up tickets to this two-night production that will take place on Saturday, November 12th and Sunday, November 13th at the historic Suffolk Theater
in Riverhead. BUDDY: The Buddy Holly Story
is a 1990 Broadway musical that paid tribute to the legendary singer that gave the world a blueprint of rock and roll with hits like That'll Be The Day, Oh Boy, Peggy Sue, Not Fade Away,
and countless more. The musical will feature Buddy's memorable music, but also the story of his life and tragic passing in a plane crash at the age of 22 on what became known as The Day the Music Died.

"BUDDY: The Buddy Holly Story
tells the story of one of the creative geniuses from the early days of Rock and Roll," said Director Steve Steiner. "I have been privileged to be part of this from the beginning. I was in the original Broadway production in 1990 and have had a close relationship with the creators of the show, who are in England. We have produced two national tours of BUDDY
together, and have a third tour planned for the fall of 2017. It really is the greatest Rock and Roll show ever, and we really look forward to bringing it to the Suffolk Theatre in a production created specifically for this theater."
The musical will feature Todd Meredith, who starred in the national touring production, as well as Steiner, who directed the national touring production. There is a great deal of thought put into the choreography, live music, and so much more. You won't want to miss this fabulous show!
A whopping 22 million plus people across the world have witnessed this one-of-a-kind performance. The Boston Globe says this show "will send you out of the Theater on an unstoppable high."
Buddy Holly was born in Texas in 1936 and kicked off the age of rock and roll. His breakthrough hit, That'll Be the Day, came out in 1957 and the rest is history! Buddy's impact on musical history has been incredible considering his early-in-life death. His work influenced major artists like the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, and Elton John. Buddy was one of the first artists inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. Rolling Stone magazine ranked him number 13 on its list of "100 Greatest Artists." He's the real deal!
